Womanizer vs. Satisfyer vs. Lelo: Which Clit Suction Toy is the Best?

by Jane Louis
womanizer vs satisfyer vs lelo

Suction vibrators have earned their fame during the last few years. From Womanizer to Satisfyer to Lelo, I’ve tried almost all the popular models I am interested in.

Do clit suckers really give guaranteed orgasms within 3 mins?

Which brand’s toy feels most like oral sex?

Are there desensitizing issues?

Which model is more suitable to use during sex?

How toys from different brands stimulate differently?

Is it worth paying twice more to get a Womanizer or LELO?

selected models from my collection

In this article, I will answer all these questions, with a large amount of quantifiable data and some subjective opinions based on my experience.

I’ve also included a big comparison chart in this review. You can go directly to the chart to get a brief idea about how each model works.

What is Clit Suction Toys?

For those of you who are not familiar with clit suction toy (also known as clit stimulator). It is a type of sex toy that stimulates the clitoris with contactless air pulse waves.

The sensation from these touchless vibrators is very different from conventional vibrators. Womanizer is the first company that launched this type of sex toy.

Then, Satisfyer entered the market, launched its famous Pro 2. And these two brands remain to be the leaders of the field.

From 2019, another two popular and prestigious sex toy companies, Lelo and We-vibe, stepped into the market and launched their own versions of clit suction toys.

How Does it Feel Like? Womanizer vs Satisfyer vs Lelo

Clitoris is a very delicate thing. Though all brands provide the same type of stimulation: sucking on the clit with contactless air puff and bring out your deepest orgasm, each brand’s specific suction technology is still slightly different.

Womanizer uses "Pleasure Air" technology and I find it provides a more delicate sensation than any other brand.

Its gentle sucking and soft vibrations can lead you to a new kind of orgasm you have never experienced before.

Womanizer’s nozzle has a thinner and more elastic edge compared to the ones from Satisfyer and Lelo.

Because of that, the pleasure wave around your clit tends to be gentler and feels softer.

Satisfyer uses “Air Pulse” technology. This is a revolutionary touch-free stimulation system which works by surrounding the clitoral area within a silicone tip and gently adding pressure waves

To be honest, the Air Pulse from Satisfyer is very similar to the Air Pleasure from Womanizer.

It’s more like a less-delicate version of Womanizer because its nozzle is quick thick and firm.

Satisfyer is known as a copycat for Womanizer. So, for ethical reasons, I usually don’t recommend Satisfyer’s toy.

lelo satisfyer womanizer suction head nozzle

Left to right: Lelo, Satisfyer & Womanizer

But I must point out that Satisfyer is very responsive to customer’s feedback and it constantly updates the beloved models.

Besides, this company really tries to keep an affordable price range for all the majority of its toys.

As for LELO, it uses a “sonic wave” type of technology. The sensation of Lelo’s clit suction toys is quite different, in my opinion.

The closest feeling I can compare Lelo’s motion to is the feeling of standing in front of a big speaker. It's as if the sonic (sound) waves are emitting onto your skin.

The difference between LELO’s device and other devices on the market (such as Satisfyer Pro 2 and Womanizer Duo) is that the Sona Line doesn't really suck your skin in. It emits sonic waves.

Which Toy Feel Most Like Receiving Oral Sex?

As a woman who receives oral licks frequently, I have to admit that none of the clit suction toys feels like oral sex.

A tongue is way softer when it comes to licking.

However, during oral sex, a man occasionally tries to suck in the whole clit to intensify the sensation.

This part feels very close to the clit suction toys, especially when using level 8 of Womanizer Premium or the 6th mode of LELO Sona 2 Cruise.

womanizer premium vs lelo sona cruise

Which Model is More Suitable to Use During Couple Sex?

If you are talking about missionary penetrative sex, unfortunately, none of the models works.

I’ve tried with all angles and it just doesn’t work. You’d better go approach conventional vibrators such as We-vibe Chorus.

However, if you have into Doggy styles, clit suction toys can be a real plus! I like to use the Womanizer Premium during this position because it’s the quietest suction toy I have.

Also, the long handle makes sure that I can hold it firmly and comfortably while receiving a penetration.

For those of you who like to ride with a Cowgirl position, I will recommend either Womanizer Liberty or Satisfyer 1+.

Whichever suction toys you choose for couple sex, make sure you flee away from LELO because their toys are wayyyy louder, which is such a mood killer.

Will Clit Suction Toys Cause Desensitizing Issues?

The fame claims that clit suction won’t lead to any desensitizing issues because the stimulation is touchless.

Well, this is somewhat true, but the reality is a bit more complicated than that.

Clit suction toys, in general, is way better than conventional vibrators for this point, however, you can still overstimulate your clit.

womanizer satisfyer lelo compare

Left to right: Womanizer Premium, Satisfyer Pro 2, Lelo Sona

I’ve tested the limit…

At least for me, if I do it three times in a row, non-stop. Then, my clit will feel too sensitive (not a nice feeling).

This situation can be improved if you apply some lubrication while using the toy.

Make sure you only use water-based lube because most of the suction heads are made of silicone and other types of lube may damage the material.

Using suction toys under the water also helps as water creates a natural protection between your sensitive clitoris and the toy.

Next, let’s discuss in more depth for each brand.

Womanizer Models

Womanizer is specialized in making air suction clit toys.

Most of the Womanizer toys (except the Starlet series) comes with two suction nozzles, one in a standard size, the other one is slightly bigger.

You can take off the nozzles for all the models. Because of that, it’s super easy to clean and makes sure you can take care of all the angles thoroughly.

Here is an overall view of all Womanizer’s suction toys:

They all have the same type of suction motor. Other than looking different in colors and shapes, the main difference among all the models lays in the pleasure air intensity levels.

womanizer clit suction toys
  • Starlet 2: 1-4 pleasure air intensity levels
  • Starlet 3: 1-6 pleasure air intensity levels
  • Liberty: 1-6 pleasure air intensity levels
  • Pro40: 1-6 pleasure air intensity levels
  • Classic: 1-8 pleasure air Intensity levels
  • Classic 2: 1-10 pleasure air Intensity levels
  • Premium: 1-12 pleasure air intensity levels
  • Premium 2: 1-14 pleasure air intensity levels (widest range of options, EVER!)
  • Duo: 1-12 pleasure air intensity levels on the internal stimulator and 1-12 intensity power levels on the internal arm

That being said, Premium series and Duo are the strongest as it has intensity from 1 to 12+ and starlet 2 is the weakest because it only has intensity from 1 to 4.

Womanizer Liberty: This is My Discreet Travel Pal

Womanizer Liberty is a pocket-sized pleasure tool. The design of the toy is very discreet and it is rather quiet when in use. That’s why I like to take this toy with me when traveling.

It is fully waterproof and includes 6 levels of pleasure air intensity. This is totally enough to make you come in less than 3 minutes.

Despite being a small toy, this toy can suck for 2 hours after each charge, which is way better than the Satisfyer Traveler.

Have you heard of the famous Womanizer Pro 40?

Other than the look, Liberty is exactly like the almighty Pro 40 - comfortable suction heads (two sizes), intuitive designs, and easy-to-press buttons. Plus, Liberty is cheaper and more portable.

I really don’t have many complaints about this model and I will recommend it to anyone who wants to get a taste of Womanizer’s toy.

Womanizer Starlet 2: Not Worth It!

This is my least favorite model from Womanizer. The design is fine: it has cute flash colors and comfortable to hold.

However, this toy only lasts for 30 mins after each charge and the plastic body makes it feel cheap.

The stimulation is still good but it only provides 4 levels of intensity, which is not enough for someone who looks for very intense clit suction.

So, if you are looking for an affordable toy in the same price range, I would recommend getting the Satisfyer Pro 2 or Pro 3+ instead.

Womanizer Duo: A Unique Toy for Adventurous Player

I had a doubt about this model at the beginning because rabbit toys usually don’t work for my anatomy.

To my surprise, the Womanizer Duo is very flexible and takes good care of my G-spot and my clit.

Both the vibration for the G-spot shaft and the pulsation for the suction head have 12 levels of intensity, which is the strongest Womanizer provides and this is way more than enough.

With some tests and trials, I even find a position where I can thrust the toy a bit while keeping the suction head on my clit. That is really a divine experience.

The model is quite expensive. Actually, it’s by far the most expensive model Womanizer launched.

However, I think it’s totally worth it. I’ve it for more than 1 year now. I used it a lot in both the bedroom and bathtub.

It works perfectly in the water. Also, I don’t notice any drops in the battery life.

Satisfyer launched something similar called Pro + G-spot. It’s four times cheaper, but sadly it doesn’t do the dual job. At least not for me.

Before the Duo, womanizer launched a product called “InsideOut”, that one looks very similar, but it’s a lot stiffer.

So, if you really want to dual stimulator, go for Womanizer Duo. That’s the only one that works, in my opinion.

Womanizer Premium: Absolute the Best Clit Suction Toy I’ve Ever Had

This clit stimulator is purely perfect! The toy is covered with very high-quality silicone. It’s so soft to touch and so comfortable to hold.

What impresses me the most is its clit suction power. It’s soooo intense (12 levels of intensity) that I can’t stop screaming when reaching an orgasm.

Not like the LELO Sona, this toy is intense in a pleasurable way and its stimulation is the closest to good oral sex.

Another thing that impresses me is its long battery life. It lasts for 4 whole hours after each charge.

I can really leave it in my nightstand and use it every day for 2 weeks without worrying about charging it.

Other than being a bit pricey, I don’t find any flaw in Womanizer Premium. Again, this is my favorite clit suction toy!

Update: Womanizer recently launched Premium 2, which has 2 more levels of intensity and an improved autopilot control.

For me, the original Premium is already very good, but if you prefer to get the newest version, it's available now

Womanizer Classic: Not bad

This is a relatively old model. The design is sleek and it includes all the good stuff from Womanizer – Comfortable to hold, 100% waterproof, 2 nozzle sizes, and easy-to-control buttons.

Womanizer Classic has 8 levels of air pleasure intensity, which is higher than the Pro 40 (6 levels) but lower than the Premium (12 levels).

To be honest, compared to the Pro 40, I don’t really notice much difference regarding the intensity.

So, unless you really like the design of the Classic, I would recommend getting either the Pro 40 or the Liberty because these two models are $20 cheaper.

Update: Womanizer recently launched Classic 2, which in my opinion is a lot more interesting.

It has 2 more level of intensity, a super soft surface and exclusive Afterglow function. I would rate it 4.5/5. Feel free to check the new model.

Satisfyer Models

Unlike Womanizer, none of the Satisfyer toys come with an extra large-sized nozzle.

It’s pretty fine for most people, but might be a problem for some women.

That’s why I don’t recommend suction toys from either Satisfyer or Lelo for those of you who have a big clit.

Besides, it’s NOT possible to take off the nozzles for most of the models (except for the Pro 2 & Pro 2 +).

So, you have to be more cautious when cleaning Satisfyer’s toy after each use. And make sure you dry well the gaps between the suction head and the body.

satisfyer vs lelo vs womanizer clit toy

Satisfyer got famous by an air suction toy called Pro 2. The first generation of Pro 2 made a huge buzz because it is very affordable meanwhile produce a similar kind of sensation as Womanizer’s toy.

I must admit that I didn’t like the first generation of Satisfyer’s toy. My first Pro 2 was very loud and you can feel it was a cheap toy the moment you held it in the hand.

No surprise that my first Pro 2 broke in less than 3 months and I wasn’t even using it that much.

Two years ago, I attended a sex toy expo and had a chance to meet Satisfyer’s team. I was told that Satisfyer made a huge upgrade for all the clit suction toys.

Therefore, I decided to give it another chance.

I must admit that there are quite some exciting improvements.

The most noticeable thing is that it’s not that LOUD anymore! I won’t say it’s a quiet toy, but now the noise is acceptable.

Besides, there seem to be some improvements in quality. And they launched so many types of suction toys, which is perfect for people who like to have a wide range of choices.

At this moment, there are 19+ air pulse toys you can choose from Satisfyer.

Each of the toys has a different design. Each individual model also has a different size and is easy to handle due to its unique shape.

Furthermore, due to the different shapes and designs of the Satisfyer, the silicone heads also come in different sizes.

Meaning each Satisyfer has its own silicon heads. This can cause a different stimulation and can trigger various sensations for every woman.

To put it simply, there are two types of suction toys, one type only has pressure wave settings, such as the famous Pro 2 and Penguin.

The other type includes pressure wave settings + vibration, such as Curvy 1+ and Pro 3+.

To be honest, the Air Pulse Stimulator is the same for all the devices no matter you buy one for $39 or $119.

However, some of them have 2 motors that make them stronger. For example: Pro 1+ and Pro 2+.

Satisfyer Pro 3+ : Maximized pleasure

This is my personal favorite because it fits my anatomy the best.

It is mainly made of silicone, which is very soft to touch. Besides, it has a unique convex pattern inside the suction nozzle which heightens sensation.

This pattern is exclusive to the Pro 3+ and I just love this small detail.

Besides, it provides 11 levels of pulse wave, which is more than enough to suck out your deepest orgasm.

In the past, it’s not possible to decrease the intensity while in use, which means you have to loop the whole cycle if you missed a level.

This has changed! And I am so glad about that!

Now, all the suction toys from Satisfyer has both “+” and “-”, which allows you to freely switch between different levels.

Satisfyer Pro 2 (or Pro 2+): Orgasm guaranteed

This is the most classic model and it does live up to its fame.

The only noticeable difference between Pro 2+ and Pro 2 is that Pro 2+ includes both pulsation and vibration while Pro 2 can only stimulate with pulsation.

There is a small price difference ($10) between the two models. I personally think the vibration from Pro 2+ is quite lame. Besides, the battery finishes way faster for Pro 2+.

So, I suggest you to get the Pro 2 instead of Pro 2+.

Satisfyer Curve Line (Curve 1+, Curve 2+ & Curve 3+): App Controllable

The Curve Line is the most recent launch from Satisfyer. It’s not more expensive, but the clit suction toys from this Line are more high-tech because they can be controlled by an app (the App is totally free).

These three models do not differ from the technology and handling.

The difference is in the design and in the colors. Most noticeably, the nozzle! The Curvy 1 and 2 have almost the same nozzle size while the Curvy 3 has a slightly smaller nozzle size.

So, based on the size of your clit, you can decide what you’ll like best.

In the app you can use the close-up range:

  • Control your toy for yourself
  • Create, save and share vibration patterns (if you like)
  • Synchronize your toy with Spotify or the music on your mobile
  • Chat with other contacts, send pictures and make a video call
  • Access shared vibration patterns from others in the Community Chat

Remote control functions:

  • Your toy can be controlled via video call from your chat partner
  • The following options are available for video calls:
  • Give up control - current user gives up control to his partner
  • Exchange control - current user asks for control of my partner's toy
  • Sync option - current user controls both his toy and that of his partner.
  • You can do this all over the world

Satisfyer Luxury Line (High Fashion, Prêt-à-porter & High Couture): High price = High quality?

There is a reason why clit suction toys from this line are more expensive (from $99 to $139).

For any other clit toys, the package is very simple and there is no storage bag included.

However, products from the Luxury Line fixed all these flaws. It has a great box, high-quality velvet bag, the touch of the toy is also very unique.

However, I don’t think it has a better suction motor because it feels the same as the Pro 2.

Unless you are a big fan of Satisfyer, I don’t really recommend getting the Luxury Line because I don’t want to pay that much more just for a good package and storage.

If you are willing to spend more than $100 on a clit suction toy, I suggest picking one from Womanizer instead.

satisfyer pro4couples

Satisfyer Pro 4 Couples: Worst toy ever!

This model doesn’t work at all! It’s impossible to use this toy during couple sex and it’s not even pleasant to masturbate with this toy.

satisfyer pro + g spot

Satisfyer Pro + G-spot: Stiff and Awkward

The G-spot shaft is a bit stiff. So, it’s a bit tricky to position the toy.

After multiple trials, I still haven't manage to get a dual stimulation feeling. So, I give up!

Honestly, I think Womanizer Duo does a wayyy better job.

satisfyer traveler

Satisfyer Traveler: A meh Toy

This toy looks discreet and it does deliver a good amount of suction.

However, I will never recommend to bring it when traveling. It takes sooo long to charge (4 hours) and only last for 1 hour of play.

satisfyer penguin

Satisfyer Penguin: Cute and effective!

I really like this tuxedo penguin, probably just because it’s so uniquely cute.

But I never use it when with my patterner, because he feels it’s not that sexy to have a cute penguin next by.

LELO Models

Lelo is a very well-known sex toy company, but it only started to create clit suction toys from 2019.

So, it is definitely a new player.

At this point, they launched 6 suction toys (Sona, Sona Cruise, Sona 2, Sona Cruise 2, Sila and Enigma) in total and I've tried all of them.

Here are my opinions:

lelo clit suction toys

Sona & Sona Cruise: SO Loud!!!

Sona and Sona Cruise was launched in 2019.

SONA Cruise includes all the features from SONA, with the addition of the awesome Cruise Control feature.

Many toys on the market experienced a decline in intensity when they are being pressed against your body.

This is where the Cruise feature comes into play. When it’s pressed hard against your body it won’t drop its power, which will keep the intensity consistent automatically.

I tried both the Sona Line right after its launch because I am really into clit stimulation.

I wouldn’t say it’s a total failure, but it does take great efforts to appreciate these two models.

And both Sona and Sona Cruise are f* loud and they are very intense, in an aggressive way!

I guess that’s why LELO upgraded these two models in less than 1 year. And now you can get these two models with great discounts.

Sona 2 and Sona Cruise 2: Intense & Pleasurable

Sona 2 and Sona Cruise 2 were launched in 2020. LELO upgraded its previous version based on the user’s feedback.

Just like Sona Cruise and Sona, Sona cruise 2 differs from Sona 2 only on the Cruise feature (When it’s pressed hard against your body it won’t drop its power).

A lot of improvements are made for the SONA 2 Line. Sona 2 and Sona 2 Cruise offers softer sonic waves and a wider range of sonic intensities.

It has a deeper and larger mouth head. It also has 2X battery life with can count to more than 200 orgasms per charge. Most important, it’s a lot quieter.

If you are someone who does not typically require a lot of pressure when using toys, the SONA 2 may be perfectly ideal for you.

However, if you are very familiar with this issue of more pressure equating less intensity, then the SONA 2 Cruise would be much more up your alley.

How to Properly Use a Clitoral Suction Toy? (My Personal Experience)

I’ve used plenty of suction toys. Hence, I think it will be interesting to share with you how to properly use it so that you can maximize the pleasure.

1. Lube or No Lube, That’s the question…

For almost all the suction toys, it’s recommended to apply some lubricant to the clit and in the suction head. I personally think it’s not that necessary unless your clit is very sensitive.

Lubricant definitely can make the stimulation gentler and there will be fewer desensitizing issues, however, I found the orgasm is stronger without the lube.

And as long as I don’t come three times in a row, I never had issues regarding over-stimulation. Of course, clit is a delicate thing and this experience can differ from person to person.

womanizer vs satisfyer charging cable

Magnetic charging cables

2. Always start with the lowest intensity.

Just like warming up your body before doing exercises, it’s important to wake up your clit before stimulating it intensively.

Unlike conventional vibrators, clit suction toys can be intense or even too intense especially for the first-time player. So, starting with a high level of intensity can really make your clit uncomfortable.

Many brands suggest covering your clit completely with the sucker before turning on the toy.

However, I personally think it’s better to turn on the toy first, with the least intensity. And then searching for the best position that can give you the most pleasure.

3. You will know where is the right position!

There’s no tricks about how to position the suction toy. It will either be very good or way-too-much. And your clit will tell you when it’s a perfect position.

The only thing that can be an issue is when the suction head is too small for your clit. The magic of air suction toys lay on its contactless stimulation.

If your clit size doesn’t fit well, it won’t really bring pleasure. I’ve interviewed a few women who encountered this issue and they all told me it can be very uncomfortable.

So, if clit size is your concern, I would suggest choosing a toy from Womanizer because they have two nozzles included, which makes sure all range sizes are taken care of.

womanizer clit stimulator detachable head

Selected models from Womanizer: two detachable nozzles!

4. Make sure you clean and dry the toy very well after each use.

If you want to keep the toy for longer, maintenance is very important. After each use, remember to thoroughly clean the toy with soapy warm water or a sex toy cleanser.

Most important, dry it very well before store it. Humidity can kill your toy in less than 3 months!

Silicone suckers from Satisfyer and LELO cannot be removed for thorough cleaning. So, be extra careful when dealing with toys from these two brands.

If you would like to hear exactly how loud each suction toy can be or simply curious about the details of the design, please don’t hesitate to check my YouTube channel. I demonstrate many sex toys there to give a better idea about how these toys function.

Where to Purchase Your Favorite Suction Toys? (& How to Get Discounts?)

I don't recommend purchasing any sex toys on Amazon because I've heard people receiving counterfeit products or even used sex toys (yuck!).

The best place to purchase the sex toy is always from the official stores.

Lelo's official store provides pretty good discounts all year long, but the percentage of the discount changes depending on the occasion. So, definitely keep an eye on your beloved models.

The official store for Satisfyer doesn't offer any discounts. At least, not what I am aware of.

So, to get a discounted price, I recommend checking SheVibe if you are based in the US. It's a very reliable sex toy shop and they offer a great range of choices.

As for womanizer, its official store barely gives discounts. Probably only twice a year (most likely during Black Friday and Christmas season).

Therefore, for those who are looking for discounts, I suggest you to check Lovehoney, which is the best sex toy shop, in my opinion, and it ships internationally. Sometimes, you can even find very well-priced Lelo products on Lovehoney.

If you are located in Canada or the US, you can also consider Ella Paradis. Despite not having a very wide range of choice and somewhat lame customer service, Ella Paradis sometimes provides very big discounts or bulk sales.

Hopefully, my experience can be helpful for you when choosing a suction toy! Enjoy!

I have a Satisfyer pro 3 – I have not been very “satisfied” with this kind of stimulation (I love other pinpoint stimulation clit toys – bullets, lipstick vibes, etc.). I don’t know why, just not really the right feeling for me? Does this mean that I won’t like any of the clit stimulation toys? Part of me is tempted to try the womanizer premium or the Lelo SILA but I really don’t want to spend the money on something that might not be for me.

Hello Kelley, You are not alone. It also took me plenty of time to start loving clit stimulator. Compared to Womanizer Premium, the low setting of Satsifyer Pro 3 isn’t that gentle. That’s why it may require more effort to appreciate it especially if it is your first clit stimulator.
In my opinion, it’s not necessary to buy a new suction now. You need to figure out whether you just don’t like this type of sensation or it’s because Pro 3 is too intense. Here is my suggestion: next time you use Pro 3, either apply a good amount of lube or use it while taking a bath. The idea to use the water/lube to create protection around your clit so that Pro 3 won’t over-stimulate it. Try it a few times, with different angles, on different days. If you start to like it, then you can start considering a better toy (I think Womanizer Premium is the safest option). Otherwise, don’t waste money on another one. Hope this is helpful :).

This is the best review I’ve come across. I’m so impressed I subscribed to your channel. May I ask for your advice? I’ve never bought sex toys. And I thought about buying a Womanizer Duo. I thought I could try different types of stimulation with one toy. Have you tried using Duo only for stimulation of the clitoris? If so, how is it?

Hello Olga, Glad to know this review provided values to you:).
I did use it for single stimulation. Actually, many times, I can only let it well stimulate one spot because my hand couldn’t hold the toy still when I am too excited.
If you want only clit stimulation, it’s possible to reverse the toy and not get it inserted, but there is a limitation regarding the angle. Also, do note that the G-spot arm is a bit short, so you may not have a full G-spot/vaginal pleasure compare to using a separate G-spot vibrator.
Maybe you can also check Lelo Enigma. Duo has better clit suction, in my opinion. But Enigma is more flexible and has longer G-spot shaft.
Hope this helped :).

You included so much useful information, the comparison between all the toys was really detailed and I have to say I loved the article & will definitely come back to read more!

Great review! I’m wondering if you have any more thoughts on the Lelo Sila? I notice you gave it a 5/5 star rating but don’t go into too much detail on that. I have a partner that finds direct clitoral stimulation to easily be too stimulating, and am curious about the Sila as it seems to claim to be a much gentler and gradual experience. I am also just curious if you have any thoughts or recommendations for any others that might work best for someone with an extremely sensitive clit and aren’t necessarily looking for the most intense experience. Thanks so much!

Hello Matt, I do like Lelo Sila a lot because of its broader head and it could be a good option for both gentle and intense needs. Regarding the sensitivity, I think it can help to apply some lube to create some buffer between the clit and the toy. It’s also better to choose toys with more intensity levels, such as Womanizer Premium 2 (14 levels) so that it gives more time to build up.
Btw, you definitely shouldn’t get Lelo Sona series because they are strong from level 1.
