One of the most fun ways to spice up your love life is to use a panty vibrator.
They’re fun for both parties and can add a little bit of excitement behind closed doors and out in the open.
I took a look at two app control vibrators: the Lovense Ferri and We-Vibe Moxie.
Whether you like public play or long distance vibrator fun, you can determine which of these panty twisters fits your needs.
What Is the Lovense Ferri?

I also wrote a detailed Ferri review, feel free to read
The Lovense Ferri is a panty vibrator that you can fasten to your underwear for clitoral stimulation.
You or your partner can choose between three speeds and four patterns via the Lovense Remote app or the buttons on the knicker knocker.
If you want, you can even design custom vibration patterns.
The vibrations are quiet on the lower settings, making it the perfect toy to use for public play.
Lovense developers designed it to fit in almost any panties comfortably while staying put, regardless of what you’re doing.
What Is the We-Vibe Moxie?

I also wrote a detailed Moxie review, feel free to read
The We-Vibe Moxie is another panty vibrator that stimulates your clit.
It’s perfect for both short and long-distance play using the buttons on the device, a remote control, or the We-Connect app.
It has ten different vibration settings and patterns that you or your partner can choose from, which will keep things exciting in or outside the bedroom.
Meanwhile, all the vibration modes are very discreet!
The toy is made with safe silicone material to ensure it’s comfortable to wear.
Shared Features of Lovense Ferri & We-Vibe Moxie
Lovense Ferri and We-Vibe Moxie share a lot of similarities when it comes to pleasure and design.
Here’s a breakdown of the common features between them.
1. Ergonomic Design
Both the Ferri and Moxie are designed to provide external stimulation, nothing internal.
They’re perfectly shaped to massage the clitoris and provide sensations of pleasure.
They also vibrate against your vaginal lips due to their width.
The designers of each product wanted to provide the best stimulation possible without compromising comfort.
Both vibrators are made of soft yet rigid silicone that rests against your skin without bending or moving.
They are phthalate-free to prevent allergic reactions.
2. 100% Waterproof
If you're looking for a waterproof panty vibrator, you could go with either the Ferri or Moxie.
Each product is IPX7 waterproof. This means that you can submerge both as deep as three feet for 30 minutes. The hot tub just got spicier!
3. Strong Magnetic Clips
Both the Ferri and Moxie come with a magnetic clip (plus a spare one in case of you lost the original one) or caps that help keep the vibrator stable no matter what you are doing.
The magnet clip rests outside your panties and attracts the one in the vibrator. You can readily snap the toy in place and carry on with your day without it budging.
Both magnetic fasteners have decent strengths, with the Ferri beating the Moxie by a bit. Nevertheless, each toy shouldn’t have a problem staying still.
4. App-Controllable
For those who have an iPhone or Android device, you can manipulate these app control vibrators without having to put your phone down.
Each product has an app you can download to use wherever, whenever.
The best part is that you can use them at short range or long distances, making them great for long-distance relationships.
Bluetooth or internet are required for these to work.
5. Customizable Vibration Patterns
While the Ferri and Moxie come with pre-programmed vibration patterns and settings, you can use their individual apps to customize a pattern if you want a more personalized play.
The Ferri’s standard settings include three speeds and four patterns. You can choose between:
- Low
- Medium
- High
- Fireworks
- Earthquake
- Pulse
- Wave
The We-Vibe Moxie has ten vibration patterns:
- Low
- Medium
- High
- Massage
- Pulse
- Ramp
- Tease
- Tempo
- Ultra
- Wave
You can design your own pattern on the Lovense Remote and We-Connect apps.
I like to draw random squiggles on the apps to surprise my pussy.
I can also ask my partner to make one for me, or sync the vibrations to a song.
The Differences Between the Ferri and Moxie
Now let’s get into what makes these two vibrators different from one another.
Some of the differences are minimal, but they may help to make your decision easier for you.
1. Size and Design
The Ferri and Moxie are both small, but the Ferri is slightly smaller.
The Ferri’s dimensions are:
- Width: 1.06 in. / 2.2 cm
- Length: 2.93 in. / 7.45 cm
- Thickness: 0.96 in. / 2.45 cm
- Weight: 1.2 oz / 34.02 g
The Moxie’s dimensions are:
- Width: 2.53 in. / 6.43 cm
- Length: 3.62 in. / 9.2 cm
- Thickness: 1.4 in. / 3.58 cm
- Weight: 1.4 oz / 39.69 g
The Ferri has a hot pink body with a black face for the buttons and magnetic cap.
The side that faces your panties has the power button, warnings to not throw it in the garbage, and buttons to change the pattern.
The Moxie comes in aqua or black, with everything except for the buttons to change the pattern being the same color.
It has the logo on the side that faces your panties and a magnetic clip.
As far as materials go, the Moxie has no latex, making it the better option if you have a latex allergy.
Since the Moxie is a little bigger, you are more likely to feel it in your panties.
You may need to wear looser pants or a skirt with this one to accommodate the extra space.
However, the extra size gives it more of a rumble when it starts going without compromising its gentle nature.
2. Noise Level
They're both pretty quiet at the lower levels, but they're not as whisper quiet as they advertise.
Purdue University classifies whispers as 20 decibels. The Ferri is 43 decibels, and the Moxie is slightly quieter at 40 decibels.
3. Public Play
At 40-43 decibels, the Ferri and Moxie produce ambient sound, similar to that of a library or bird call.
You could easily carry a conversation without hearing it, especially if you’re in a restaurant, movie theater, or busy office.
They fit snugly on your panties, so you don’t have to worry about re-adjusting them.
Since they have app controls, you or your partner can manipulate the settings without causing suspicion by pulling out a remote.
You can pretend you’re writing a note when really you’re writing up a vibration pattern.
If you attend a concert or club, you can sync the Ferri to the sounds around you.
With the We-Connect app, you would need to load a song onto the app itself rather than use the microphone.
When my man starts talking to me in his sexy baritone, I like to tune the vibrations to the sound of his voice.
Sometimes I trick him into saying words that start with P for an extra jolt.
Since the Ferri is slightly louder, you may have to use it in slightly louder locations than the Moxie. Regardless, both work well for public play.
4. Battery Life
The Ferri and Moxie have different battery lives, and they take a different amount of time to reach a full charge.
The Ferri can last for 3-3.5 hours of continuous use and takes about 60 minutes to get a full charge.
On the other hand, the Moxie will last for about two hours of continuous use and takes 90 minutes to fully charge.
However, the Moxie has a sleep mode that can prolong the battery life to four hours.
5. App Control Functions
Lovense Remote is by far the better app of the two. You can do almost anything on it, such as:
- Trying out other users’ vibration patterns
- Controlling the Ferri from a long or short distance
- Syncing the pattern to music
- Sharing your designs with the world
- Syncing toys together
- Vibrating to the beat of surrounding noise
- Sending custom patterns to others
The app has few connectivity issues, so you won’t have any awkward interruptions during your session.
Also, your long-distance partner can control the vibrator for you for steamy phone sex.
On the other hand, the We-Connect app kinda sucks.
The toy has an excellent design, but the app fails to deliver as many features and frequently disconnects (according to my recent experiences).
The offerings supposedly include:
- Controlling the Moxie from anywhere
- Designing patterns on the app
- Syncing the vibrations to music
- Sending patterns over chat
- Video chat during play
However, the app often turns the Moxie off if you exit.
The chats delete themselves and the Bluetooth disconnects, making it a challenge to use.
Overall, it provides a frustrating experience for long-distance couples.
5. Remote Use
While both products have an app that you can use to control the device, the Moxie doubles as a remote control vibrator.
This is an excellent option for those who don’t have a smartphone or prefer a standard remote.
While the remote has connectivity issues, they are not as bad as the app.
6. Vibration Settings
This may be the most notable difference between the products when you’re using them.
The Ferri has seven vibration levels while the Moxie has ten built in. You can design new patterns using the app, as described above.
I've previously mentioned the different settings each product has, but I'll describe them further here.
On the Ferri, Low, Medium, and High control how fast the Ferri vibrates.
Fireworks build up the fastest speed then start over, while Earthquake slowly increases the intensity until you finish your session.
Pulse will give you a sudden vibration and then a calm moment. Wave has a smoother transition between fast and slow sensations.
On the Moxie, Low, Medium, and High produce steady-speed intensities.
Pulse is the same as the Ferri, and Ramp resembles the Ferri’s Wave.
Massage will give you a sharp, quick, repetitive switch between higher and lower speeds, and Tease changes the pulsations from high to low intensity.
Tempo builds up and pulls back in a repeated pattern, while Ultra and Wave give you different intensity ranges.
Ultra is a slighter change than Wave, which is more dramatic.
Both have a rumbly feel, but the Ferri has insane power. The Moxie works better for teasing or for beginners getting used to vibrators.
My Experiences with Lovense Ferri & We-Vibe Moxie
Overall, my experiences with the Lovense Ferri and We-Vibe Moxie were positive.
They both provided strong clitoral stimulation and an exciting experience.
When it comes to using the Ferri, I found it to be more comfortable than the Moxie.
While the Moxie is still lightweight, I could feel the weight difference and preferred the Ferri.
Also, the smaller size made it easier to wear skinny jeans.
The longer battery life on the Ferri was great for public play as well. It could be worn for about three hours, so I took it with me to an Incubus concert.
While I love the song “Wish You Were Here,” I did not want anyone to be there once they hit the high notes and the vibrations soared.
Just saying, there was more than one “Aqueous Transmission” going on by the encore.
I really liked the strength of the Ferri. I’m a vibrator veteran, so it takes a lot to get me going.
It felt rumbly and mighty, and the gentler modes were still more intense than the Moxie.
The Moxie still lasted for more than two hours when I activated the sleep mode.
I wore it while doing chores around the house and synced it up to a song every now and then when I felt unmotivated.
I really felt inspired to keep cleaning so that I could cum again.
While the Moxie is weaker than the Ferri, it still packed enough punch to get me going.
No earth-shattering orgasms, but still good enough to make me want to use it until the battery drained.
Despite the Moxie being slightly quieter, I prefer the Ferri for public play because the app works so much better.
I can go to brunch with my girls while we’re all synced to the same pattern.
When I need a little pick-me-up in the office, I go for the Moxie to lessen the chances of my boss noticing. Plus, I can get back to work if it disconnects.
When it comes to the individual play, I'd have to choose the Moxie.
The reason for this is because it comes with a standard remote with buttons, which is much easier to operate while pleasuring yourself since you can close your eyes and get into the moment.
Not that you can't do this with the app on your phone, but I found the remote to be easier when flying solo.
Based on my experience, the Ferri was easier to use with long-distance partners.
The app was much more straightforward and didn't have nearly as many issues with connecting.
I turned on the Bluetooth settings on the app and vibrator and it connected immediately.
Then, I could chat with my partner while he was away and ask him to control the pattern.
We like to have Zoom conference calls where I roleplay his secretary. He loves watching his work come to fruition.
Summary of Ferri & Moxie: Comparison Table
While both Lovense Ferri and We-Vibe Moxie are great short and long distance vibrators, each toy has its own pros and cons.
The Ferri lasts longer, but the Moxie is more discreet.

Final Thoughts
The Ferri and Moxie are great long-distance vibrators that are perfect for individual, public, and partner play.
For me, the Ferri wins for its app, making it excel in public and long-distance play.
Either way, they're both comfortable, small, and can bring some excitement back into your love life.
Which one is the best for you will depend on your needs, but you can't go wrong with either option.

Amazing review! Well done! In regards to the chart at the bottom, I believe you made a few errors according to your review. The Ferri is stronger than the Moxie. Also the Moxie has sleep mode instead of the Ferri. Overall amazing work! Thanks for sharing.
Hello EbonFlow, thanks a lot for pointing out the errors! I just fixed them! Also, I am really happy to know that you found this review helpful 🙂
